Kind. Intelligent. Driven. Sweet. Thoughtful. These are the words that jump most quickly to mind when I think of Hayley. I have been blessed to know Hayley’s family for three years when I began doing their annual family photos when their wonderful previous photographer moved away. So now that we are at Hayley’s senior year… I’m feeling a little nostalgic and sentimental about it! As a mama myself, watching kids grow up hits ALLLL the feels!

Hayley chose Karen of the Gods for her senior session here in Colorado Springs. Like so many of us, she loves the looming red rocks, beautiful meadows, and stunning sunsets - and we managed to capture all of those! I love that Hayley chose three different outfits for her session to really highlight who she is. She started with her volleyball uniform to commemorate her time on Discovery Canyon Campus’s volleyball team. Then she switched to a cute casual outfit of jean shorts, a white tank top, and tennis shoes (hot tip: I have a changing tent for on-location outfit changes!). Hayley’s final outfit was an adorable, classy white dress. She informed me that wearing white is a current trend among senior girls and I am here. For. It! As a light and airy photographer, I will always recommend light colors and light neutrals because they match my style well and help YOU stand out against the darker, bolder colors of the gorgeous Colorado scenery.

Hayley and I had such an adventure with her parents celebrating her senior year! Hayley is still finalizing her plans for after high school but plans on attending college. I have zero doubts in my mind that she will be successful at whatever she puts her mind to - she is so hard-working and intelligent, has a wonderful support system in her family and friends, and her kind heart and gentle spirit are going to set her apart and make a difference all throughout her life. Thank you for trusting me with your senior memories, Hayley! I am SO proud of you!
