Oh, hi there!
I'm Liesl. Yup, like "The Sound of Music"! I'm a storytelling photographer serving the Colorado Springs area and beyond (I enjoy travel, whether it's to the mountains or out of state or even to another country!). I love photographing your life at every stage - engagement, marriage, maternity, lifestyle newborn, family, high school seniors, graduation, and on as the cycle continues!
I'm also a Jesus Follower, homeschool mama, extroverted introvert, and lover of books and all things beautiful and vintage. You can often find me sipping tea from a delicate china cup, curled up with a good book by a fire, or out exploring somewhere in the beautiful nature of Colorado and beyond.
I am the right photographer for you if you are ready to be yourself, laugh with me, dress it up a bit, trust me to take care of all the details, and have a slightly adventurous spirit. I've made the planning process super easy for you! My knowledge and experience will save you time and money and allow you to focus on your loves! I will help you relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera - I am equal parts silly and deeply passionate. At your session your only job is to laugh with your family and connect with those you love, and I'll document the love and laughter for you. Look at the camera and smile on occasion, but mostly, just be who you are and I'll take care of the rest!

My people are my everything.
My hubby and I met at our high school youth group, then got together 10 years later after being friends for a long time. He's the most faithful and gentle person I know.
I homeschool my daughter because I can't imagine giving up so much time with her when the years we share together are so few before she grows up. We spend every moment we can adventuring outside!
As a family we love to play together, travel (my goal for my daughter is to see all 50 states by graduation!), and laugh together as much as possible.

I. I love all things beautiful
My heart is especially drawn to the beauty found in God's creation outside (especially in the fall!), and to the love shared among people because it is truly divine. I love beautifully-made things, carefully crafted spaces, delicate china cups, and the smell of rain and old books. Because smells can be beautiful too!
2. CSU Fort Collins grad
I graduated from CSU Fort Collins in 2009 with my music ed degree. I taught elementary music for a year, decided it wasn't for me, then worked with Lifetouch for about 8 years doing school portraits and the JCPenney studio before returning to the classroom as a middle school band director, which I loved. Ultimately I left to stay home with my daughter and start this business!
3. Heartland junkie
It's my favorite TV show ever and I love to binge it over and over again. My heart is in the mountains, always, and one day I hope to live there and hopefully with my own horse.
