They may look a lot alike, but these two lovely young ladies aren't twins!
These two former band students of mine are as different as can be, and yet have a sweet sisterly bond that is a delight to behold. Ari is a gifted artist, very much marches to the beat of her own drum (although she played flute and saxophone, ha ha, I am punny!), and has a dry sense of humor and a healthy sense of sarcasm. Lexi was a talented percussionist in my band, is a gifted and gracious leader, and has been such a dedicated student that she should be graduating early! That's why their sweet mama decided to do their senior photos at the same time, even though Ari is a senior and Lexi technically a junior by year.
I couldn't have been more excited to see these two girls again! I have such fond memories of them from our FMS band days. :) We first met at the beautiful Pine Meadows venue in Black Forest - this was my first session at the venue and let me tell you, it's worth the small fee to use this delightful, bright forest location for your session! There are SO many possibilities here for what really is a bargain. We utilized the structure with light floral decor and rustic hanging windows, the gorgeous log wall just outside, and the vintage truck parked on the property to create a wide variety of fun looks for the girls.
Then we ventured to Garden of the Gods for your quintessential Colorado photos, and enjoyed a dramatic stormy backdrop to boot. Despite the otherwise unusually warm weather for late fall, the storm brought in a brisk chill to the air, but the girls toughed it out like champs and we had a great time catching up while capturing this special milestone in their lives.
Thanks, Ari & Lexi, for asking me to commemorate your upcoming graduations with photos for you. It was truly an honor and a blessing! I'm so excited to see what your futures hold!
