I knew before we had even begun that my shutter button would be absolutely FLYING.
I've known Terryn and her kids for many years, but we haven't been as connected the past few years, so what a joyous reunion it was! Particularly with her daughter Julia, who was also a student of mine when I was a middle school band teacher but who now attends college on the other side of the country. My heart was so full!
Now, these three are quite the dynamic trio and I knew there would CONSTANTLY be hilarious things happening that absolutely needed to be documented in order to truly show the essence of this family. And as usual, they did not disappoint! The rapid banter. The twisted humor. The odd and random poses. I was there for it all and loved every second!
The magical snowy atmosphere in Black Forest made the session that much more special. No one complained about the cold. We just trounced through the snow and played and had a good time! Julia was especially excited to pose near the bare aspen trees, their white bark a beautiful contrast to the exposed browned grasses of the Cathedral Pines Lodge around us, and proof that this location is not only beautiful in the summer months but in the winter as well!
My biggest recommendation for your family photo session? Just be yourselves. As long as you do that, you're going to LOVE the results!
