This is the recipe for the most DREAMY photo session ever! I absolutely love doing mountain sessions and am surprised they aren't more requested, so when Hannah was up for this session after we had to postpone her planned spring mini due to the weather not cooperating, I was over the moon! Summer in Colorado is usually quite glorious, especially in the mountains, but this summer has been a literal dream (minus the mosquitos!). I've never seen more abundant wildflowers and I've lived here for 25 years. My favorite place in the world to capture memories for families and seniors is anywhere outside with a gorgeous view... and this spot is probably my favorite!
The last time I saw Hannah, she was finishing up 6th grade. She was a lot shorter, had an adorable short bob haircut and glasses, and played bass clarinet in my advanced 6th grade band class. She moved on to other things after that year, but I heard about her through the grapevine over the years. She babysat for my niece, whose mother sang her praises. So when I got to see this vibrant spirit in person again, now a tall, glowing young lady full of joy and kindness, my heart swelled with pride at the person that quiet little middle school girl grew into!
To add to that, Hannah and her boyfriend Alex have been together for over three years now and demonstrate a maturity far exceeding their young years. They already live independently, supporting themselves and Hannah just graduated from high school in May. These two were SO MUCH FUN to work with, that "work" doesn't even seem like the appropriate word! These two were so easy-going and willing to try just about anything. Their adventurous spirit allowed us to venture up into the mountains, try some new poses, and even change outfits multiple times, including two dresses from my client closet, using my changing tent on the high mountain meadow. We had so much fun that only the onset of darkness after sunset forced us to end the session.
Hannah and Alex - what a JOY to meet you both (Hannah for the 2nd time!) and see the incredible life you're building and the sweet relationship you share!
