I've known Everly since she was an adorable bump on her sweet mama's tummy, and what a treat it has been to watch her grow up alongside my own daughter! They are very close in age and basically BFFs. They are so similar one might assume they are related! We've done family photos for the past three or four years and Laura has graciously modeled client closet dresses for me (and Everly!) for a couple of years. This family is full of love and laughter and each year it's a joy to capture those moments - the goofy expressions from dad snuck in as often as possible, the little looks exchanged between mama and Everly, and Everly's giggles as she plays with her family and runs around exploring!
The sun was very bright at Spruce Mountain Open Space on the warm summer day we met for this year's session. Thankfully some clouds rolled in temporarily to diffuse the harsh light, Countless varieties of wildflowers peppered the lush grasses on either side of the trail as we hiked the trail looking for the perfect spot. We settled on a lovely spot with purple lupines, a rare find on the front range! Everly danced and twirled in her lacy dress, string of pearls, and hat borrowed from her mama, a princess among the wildflowers, evoking a vibe that invited a dainty table set with lace doilies and china tea service. Laura & Cam endured the heat with good humor and smiled warmly at each other as they observed their daughters antics. We tried out a few different spots as we meandered back towards the trailhead, taking advantage of the beautiful wildflowers and lovely views that Spruce Mountain Open Space provides of the foothills, the plains, the forest, and the mesas.
Laura, thank you for always trusting me with your family photos, and for being willing to model new client closet items for me! Y'all always completely nail the styling and make capturing your family memories so much fun and a joy! I can't wait to have y'all in front of my camera again next year!
