The sweet Murray family were quiet from the moment we met at the trailhead and throughout their session - but quiet does not mean we didn't have fun!
I am perfectly content meeting quieter families - I'm actually introverted myself, although I've learned to fake it pretty well, but being around quiet people puts me totally in my element. This unique dynamic gave me the opportunity to observe the sweet relationships between each member of this special family.
As the sun slowly sank towards the horizon, we captured lovely late-afternoon family photos and as we continued on, bigger and bigger smiles emerged and giggles increased. It's totally normal for the first part of a photo session to feel a little weird as you get used to being in front of the camera. Even as a photographer, when I'm having my photo taken I get pretty self-conscious! But if you're working with the right photographer you'll find yourself loosening up more and having a good time, just like this family did!
As golden hour increased in its intensity, we captured other special relationships in the family - brother and sister, mom and dad, mom and daughter, dad and son. Whenever possible I photograph each special relationship in your family! This is the benefit of longer family sessions - you almost always time to capture many different combinations of your family!
Sessions in Black Forest at Golden Hour are pure magic, especially in the summer! The sunlight filtering through the trees makes all the colors around you seem that much richer. It's truly a special time and place for your next family session! Let's plan yours today!
