Holly's family was only here in Colorado temporarily due to the illness of a family member.
Originally from Texas, adjusting to Colorado's crazy winters, and only for a few months, was a lot for this sweet little family! Especially given the less than happy circumstances of their stay here. Thankfully, Holly got connected to my MOPS group and found community and support for her remaining weeks here - which is how we were connected, and I learned that she deeply wanted to commemorate their special time in Colorado with some beautiful photos! Time was so short before their departure back to Texas, the weather was absolutely less than cooperative as our seasonal gusty winds had begun to arrive along with the typical cold weather we experience here early in the year... and yet, the winds calmed for just one hour (for the most part, ha!) for this absolutely stunning session with Holly, her husband Steven, and their three adorable, precocious boys! The weather conditions were truly a gift from the Lord above for this family and even though it was still a bit chilly for the littles, they handled the session like absolute champs. Holly and Steven giggled with their boys and snuggled close, relishing in their love for one another, and bribed those boys with gummy bears when it was their time to shine!
This family has so much love for each other and joy despite their recent trials! Steven and Holly truly know the importance of family. They were willing to relocate their family to another state for a few months just to ensure their loved ones were cared for in their time of need, and with three small boys in tow, this was no small sacrifice! Colorado is beautiful and a wonderful spot for photos, but more importantly, they have this beautiful, chaotic, special time of their lives commemorated in photos they will cherish always. This family is willing to do whatever is takes to be a blessing to others and to ensure their precious boys know their legacy as they grow.
Steven and Holly, I am so sorry for the struggles and losses your family has endured in the recent past, and yet I also know that you all will only become stronger through these trials because of your love for one another and God. I am so blessed that I got to meet you all, and so look forward to having Holly back at MOPS when you're visiting Colorado, and perhaps our paths will also cross in Texas one day on one of our many trips there! You're in my thoughts and prayers and I will always treasure these photos along with you!
