I've known Abby since she was in... middle school?
One of the things I enjoy most is photographing people over a long period of time. And I've known Abby and her family for many, many years. It's been a pleasure watching her grow from a sweet young teen into a kind and Godly young lady.
I did her high school senior photos, too! And then she went off to college in Montana.
There, she met Noah.
I felt so blessed when I received an email asking me to photograph their wedding! We had a whirlwind trip up to Nebraska, driving through a building snowstorm with our 10-month old, and spent three days there celebrating the marriage of Abby and Noah, in a blizzard. :) That was one adventure I will never forget!
What stands out to me even more, though, is the love these two share. Though they were young - just out of college - I was quickly impressed with Noah's maturity and strength. Clearly, Abby had found her match and her perfect partner in life. Tears of joy for this sweet girl may have been shed.
Fast forward almost a year... Abby and Noah were in Colorado for a short visit to see family before Christmas, and asked me if I would do an anniversary session. Of COURSE I said yes!!! The opportunity to hug their necks again, and capture another precious milestone on their journey... this I could not pass up.
We were blessed to have fresh snow on the ground at beautiful Black Forest Park (where we took Abby's senior photos about 5 years ago!). Snow always makes for more magical photographs. :) Even though it was quite chilly, we had SO much fun adventuring through the snow-covered trails and trees and capturing their special relationship that one day, their children and grandchildren will treasure as a sweet glimpse into who these two people were before they were ever born!
I so look forward to continuing to document Abby and Noah's family as it grows and changes through the years. They have a bright and blessed future ahead of them! Thank you so much, dear friends, for the honor of documenting your life!
